When you are away at school, the last thing you want to have to do is call your parents for bail money.

Maybe one night you're out just having a good time with your friends, and the next thing you know there's a cop in your face asking you questions and then he hands you a ticket - or worse - he handcuffs you, reads you your rights, and escorts you to the back of a squad car.

When you have to deal with the police and the legal process, it can leave you feeling embarrassed, anxious and stressed - which is the last thing you need when you are just trying to get through school and move on to a career.

When you find yourself in this situation, you will want to consult with an attorney to be informed of your rights and what to expect at each step of the legal process and be advised of your options and the best direction to take in your case.  You will want an attorney who not only has the necessary experience, but someone who genuinely cares about your situation.

Attorney Susan L. Stambaugh not only has 14 years of experience successfully representing criminal law clients, but she also handles her cases in mind of how  court proceedings may affect your class schedule, how a criminal charge may affect your attendance eligibility at WIU, the impact a conviction may have on your future career, and the impact that legal fees may have on your family's finances.

Susan L. Stambaugh's goal is to step in and take care of your legal matter as expediently as possible -while striving for the best possible outcome - so that you can put the matter behind you and get focused again on your education and future career.
